As the name suggests, Mount Lofty Group are located in the Adelaide hills just south and east of Mount Lofty in South Australia.
It consists of eight Operational Brigades and a Support Brigade .
The Operational Brigades have been established for many years.
The Operational Support Unit was recently upgraded to a Support Brigade.
